Vanderbilt’s Aga Makurat has officially entered the transfer portal, per Talia Goodman of On3. The junior averaged 3.2 points and 1.5 rebounds on an average of 10 minutes per game in the 2025-26 season.
Makurat entered head coach Shea Ralph’s program back in the 2023-24 season and stuck with the Commodores for three years. She earned the most playing time in her freshman campaign, where she averaged 3.9 points on 14.2 minutes per game. She also played in 33 games as a first-year in the SEC, primarily acting as a perimeter threat.
In her sophomore season, her minutes dwindled slightly to 10 per game as she still struggled to crack the starting rotation. This year as a junior, she wasn’t able to carve out a significant role for herself, largely sitting behind Justine Pissott at the three spot. Still, she shot 39.3% from beyond the arc this season, showing her potential as an elite deep scorer. She dropped double digit points on two occasions, scoring 21 against Alabama State and 13 against Texas Southern.
Makurat’s departure marks the second player for Ralph to enter the Transfer Portal, as Ava Black also entered on April 11. With both of these players gone and Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda, Justine Pissott, Jada Brown and Sacha Washington all out of eligibility, Ralph will have some work to do in the coming weeks to craft her 2026-27 roster.
