Vanderbilt Football has landed a commitment from four-star cornerback Caden Harris. Harris is the Commodores’ highest-rated recruit since Chris Young in 2000, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He is also the Black and Gold’s second-highest ranked recruit ever.
Harris is a 6’0 Brownsville, Tennessee, native. He’s ranked as the 82nd recruit nationally, per 247Sports. He’s the 11th-ranked cornerback and the 3rd-best recruit in the state of Tennessee.
Harris held offers from 40 schools, including SEC teams like Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee. He also held offers from elite, out-of-conference schools like Michigan, Notre Dame and Colorado.
In the end, Harris put Auburn, Notre Dame, Georgia, Missouri and Vanderbilt in his top five.
The standout corner has also been a excellent receiver for Haywood in high school. He caught 37 passes for 782 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2024-25. On the other side of the line of scrimmage, Harris made 30 tackles, defended 7 passes, nabbed 1 interception and recovered 1 fumble.
Harris is head coach Clark Lea’s highest-ranked commit ever. He’ll finish out his senior year at Haywood before joining the Commodores’ program in 2026.
