On this week’s episode of Live From West End, Sports Editor Henry Oelhafen and Sports Podcast Producer Tristan Rutman briefly recap recent results from the VandyBoys, including a sweep at the hands of No. 6 Mississippi State and a home win over Tennessee Tech. They then speak on the success of the women’s basketball team, taking down 15-seed High Point in the Round of 64 and 7-seed Illinois in the Round of 32 en route to its first Sweet 16 since 2009. The duo then welcomes Enjoy Basketball Content Producer Christian Odjakjian to look back on the Commodores’ Round of 64 win over 12-seed McNeese and heartbreaking Round of 32 loss to 4-seed Nebraska. The trio transitions to “Tristan’s Two-Minute Drill™” — slightly longer than two minutes this week — where they discuss the best games from the first weekend of March Madness, along with predictions for the rest of the road to Indianapolis.
