As Vanderbilt students got back into the groove of campus life, campus remained busy with construction, athletic events and even a rock-out session with Jade Street at the Exit/In!
Keeping up with construction
This semester marked the continuation, delay and end of construction projects across campus. From the delayed destruction of Branscomb Quad to new construction by Stevenson Center, excavators and construction crews were seen across campus.
Jade Street rocks Elliston Place
Vanderbilt’s newest breakout band, Jade Street, rocked out on Aug. 30 at the Exit/In. Started by a group of Vanderbilt undergraduates, their rock-style music brought Vanderbilt students to the Exit/In before their song “Bad Man” debuted a few days later.
Win after win
Vanderbilt athletics has had much to cheer about this past week, from football’s victory over Charleston Southern to volleyball’s debut game on Wyatt Lawn. Vanderbilt soccer also beat Georgetown, alongside volleyball’s defeat against Minnesota in Memorial Gymnasium.

Aside from the noise, bulletin boards filled up with flyers, and students were seen studying as parts of campus returned to their normal semester rhythms.
