SEC releases 2020-21 women’s basketball schedule

Vanderbilt women’s basketball will start its nonconference season vs. Tennessee Tech and its SEC slate vs. Florida.

The Southeastern Conference (SEC) on Friday released its 2020-21 women’s basketball schedule, which features Vanderbilt starting its conference season at home versus Florida.

The conference previously announced on Sept. 25 that in light of COVID-19, its season would begin on Dec. 31 and would feature a 16-game slate with two off-weeks. That release also noted that both men’s and women’s basketball programs can begin playing non-conference games as soon as Nov. 25; Vanderbilt on Nov. 9 unveiled its nine-game nonconference schedule.

The Commodores 2020-21 schedule is as follows:

Nov. 25: Vanderbilt vs. Tennessee Tech

Nov. 29: Vanderbilt vs. Middle Tennessee State

Dec. 2: Vanderbilt vs. Texas Tech

Dec. 5: Vanderbilt at Arkansas (Little Rock)

Dec. 8: Vanderbilt vs. Eastern Tennessee State University

Dec. 13: Vanderbilt at Chattanooga

Dec. 17: Vanderbilt vs. VCU

Dec. 20: Vanderbilt vs. Gardner-Webb

Dec. 28: Vanderbilt vs. Samford

Dec. 31: Vanderbilt vs. Florida

Jan. 3: Vanderbilt at Mississippi State

Jan. 7: Vanderbilt at Missouri

Jan. 10: Vanderbilt vs. Alabama

Jan. 14: Vanderbilt vs. South Carolina

Jan. 17: Vanderbilt at Kentucky

Jan. 24: Vanderbilt vs. Tennessee

Jan. 28: Vanderbilt at Arkansas

Feb. 1: Vanderbilt vs. Mississippi State
