Faithful testimonies on Alumni Lawn
Christian organizations from around Vanderbilt’s campus came together to host the second “Come As You Are” event on Alumni Lawn April 6. The night featured student athletes as guest speakers, including Vanderbilt Lacrosse’s Logan Risenhoover, VandyBoys Max Jenson and Miller Green, Vanderbilt Football’s Cole Spence and Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball’s Jada Brown. Throughout the event, some groups provided Chick-Fil-A alongside small Bibles to attendees, as more people began to congregate on the lawn. Discussions on faith and life were seen throughout the lawn before the speakers came on stage.
Vanderbilt Baseball falls to the Oklahoma Sooners
Vanderbilt Baseball welcomed the Oklahoma Sooners to Hawkins Field April 9-11 in a three-game series. The Vandy-Boys won the first game in the series on Thursday, to then lose the second and final game on Friday and Saturday. The latter two games were close with an 11-13 defeat in Game 2 and a 5-6 defeat in Game 3. The third game was decisively won for the Sooners by a single run in the eighth inning, causing a bittersweet defeat for Vanderbilt Baseball as it looks toward competing against Lipscomb down the road at Jim Dugan Field in Nashville, Tennessee, April 14 at 6 p.m. CDT.
Men’s Tennis earns a Senior Day blowout against Alabama
No. 23 Vanderbilt Men’s Tennis beat Alabama 4-0 on Senior Day April 10. After scoring their first doubles point since March 13, the Commodores continued to dominate over the Crimson Tide. The team looks forward to competing in College Station, Texas, for the 2026 SEC Men’s Tennis Championship hosted by Texas A&M.
