The Vanderbilt Women’s Golf team came in seventh place at Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Florida, last weekend. Over the course of the three-day tournament, the team shot 9 under par over 54 holes. LSU won the tournament, shooting 30 under par.

Celina Sattelkau and Tess Davenport led the Commodores with a 2-under-par performance coming in tied at 27th individually. Sattelkau shot 2-under while Davenport shot even on the final round. Natasha Kiel shot even, Virginie Ding shot one over and Tille Claggett shot three over.

“I thought our young ladies fought hard today but unfortunately we just didn’t have enough in the tank to make a big move up the leaderboard,” head coach Greg Allen said. “I’m encouraged though because I believe this team has what it takes to be a really good team. They’re extremely talented, they love to compete and fight hard for one another.”

The Commodores will tee off at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Invitational at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, on Monday, Feb. 27.
