VU Sports Wired, Nov. 4: Football trends down, soccer trends up

While Vanderbilt soccer inches its way closer to the top of the SEC, Vanderbilt football sinks to the bottom.

In episode four of VU Sports Wired, Simon Gibbs, Justin Hershey and Bobby Kent are back from a two-week bye to break down the state of both Vanderbilt football and Vanderbilt soccer, two programs that seem to be trending in very different directions.

Vanderbilt football lost a one-sided contest, 54-21, to Ole Miss this past weekend, and the hosts discuss what went wrong for the Commodores, from secondary problems, to getting overpowered in the trenches and more. Then, they move onto Vanderbilt soccer—a program that struggled mightily in the crew’s last episode, but are now back in a big way, trending toward the top of the standings with just one regular season game remaining.

Tune in to VU Sports Wired via YouTube, The Vanderbilt Hustler or Vanderbilt Video Productions for news and up-to-date analysis on Vanderbilt athletics.
