BREAKING: All in-person classes canceled Jan. 29 and Jan. 30

The university has canceled all in-person classes due to icy conditions.

Editor’s Note: This story was updated Jan. 28, to include that all in-person classes were canceled for Jan. 29, and Jan. 30, 2026.

The university announced that all in-person classes scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 28 are canceled after previously announcing all classes would be held in-person. The university will remain open with an emphasis on remote work. In the announcement, the university stated that although staff cleared the walkways, ice refroze this evening as sunlight diminished.

The university announced that all in-person classes scheduled for Thursday Jan. 29, and Friday Jan. 30, are canceled due to campus conditions and weather forecasts.
