Oklahoma transfer Duke Miles has committed to head coach Mark Byington and Vanderbilt Men’s Basketball, per Joe Tipton of On3 Sports.
The 6’2 guard will be using his final year of eligibility with the Commodores, as he previously played three years at Troy, one season at High Point and one season at Oklahoma. He averaged 9.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in 2024-25 with the Sooners.
Participating in all 34 of Oklahoma’s contests, Miles dropped double digit points in 15 of its games. The Alabama native also shot a staggering 43% from three last season, adding another perimeter threat to Byington’s offense.
Ranked as a four-star in the 247Sports Transfer rankings, Miles will join guards Frankie Collins, Tyler Tanner and first-year Jaylon Dean Vines in the backcourt this upcoming season. With experience at the Power-Four level, this commitment adds experience and depth to Vanderbilt’s roster.
Miles previously committed to both Virginia and Texas A&M this offseason, but he eventually backed out of those pledges. Byington and Co. will hope that Miles sticks with the Commodores and signs his letter of intent soon.
Miles is the seventh transfer portal commit for Vanderbilt, and Byington has now filled all of its available scholarship spots.
