Over the past month, Vanderbilt football and soccer started wrapping up its fall season while basketball kicked off its new season and baseball hosted the fall David Williams Classic series. Get a glimpse of these October and November games as captured by our cameras.

Football

Vanderbilt Football hosted Georgia for Family Weekend on Oct. 14, putting up 20 points but ultimately falling to a 20-37 defeat. Continuing in celebrations on campus, the Commodores faced off against Auburn at home but faced stiff competition and the game ended as a 31-15 loss.

Soccer

The soccer team wrapped up its regular conference season with home matchups versus Missouri, Florida and Tennessee. The Commodores took down Missouri 1-0, drew 3-3 against Florida and lost a controversial heartbreaker 1-0 to Tennessee to close out the season.

Baseball

The baseball team began their fall training, playing an 18-inning home exhibition against Wake Forest, dropping the first two 6-inning matchups, but outscoring the Demon Deacons 11-10 overall. The VandyBoys are wrapping up the fall ball season with three intrasquad exhibitions for the David Williams Fall Classic. The team split into Black and Gold teams, with the Gold team winning the first game 3-2.

Men’s Basketball

Vanderbilt men’s basketball opened their season with a small-margin loss to Presbyterian College, struggling to replace Tyrin Lawrence’s offensive output with him injured. The Commodores brought the memorial magic back later in the week with a two-digit lead in the game against USC Upstate. The win streak carried on as the team scored another win against UNC Greensboro 74-40, improving to 2-1 in non-conference games.

Women’s Basketball

Women’s basketball kicked off their season strong with a 98-51 blowout win over Kennesaw State and soon improved to a 3-0 non-conference streak with a road win against UT Martin and a home win against Fairfield.
