Spring break is officially upon the Vanderbilt student body, which means life in the Vanderbubble has slowed from its typical hustling pace. However, downtown Nashville has never been busier as Vanderbilt beat all expectations to play in the semi-finals of the SEC tournament.
Clinton Global Initiative University
From March 3 to March 5, the Clinton Global Initiative University held its 15th annual conference on Vanderbilt’s campus. This convention centered on the theme of “Homecoming: Strengthening Community, Leadership and Action.”
SEC magic on Broadway
Vanderbilt started in the SEC tournament held in Bridgestone Arena as the No. 6 seed. Their win over LSU on Thursday night led to a faceoff against the Wildcats for the second time in two weeks. Vanderbilt beat the No. 3 seed on Friday night, but then fell to Texas A&M Saturday afternoon.

After the storms cleared from Nashville last week, they left the remains of the trees that had fallen around Vanderbilt’s campus. The dreary gray skies gave way to stunning weather and a rebloom of flowers. Students who’d finished their midterms enjoyed the sunshine by playing games such as SpikeBall on Alumni Lawn.
