A Dunkin’ Donuts location is opening a new, convenient location on Feb. 4 next to Chipotle on 21st. Ave.

Everyone’s familiar with the coffee shop wars around Vandy. Even if you don’t drink coffee, you probably have an opinion about whether Starbucks or Dunkin’ can make a better hot chocolate, tea or [insert your favorite morning drink option here].

But for Vanderbilt students, one competitor is about to change the game. A brand-new Dunkin’ location will host its grand opening Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 5-7 a.m. And if that weren’t enough, the first 100 guests will receive coupon booklets for free coffee for a year. If you want to get technical, that’s four free medium coffees per month for 14 months.

Even if you don’t make it to the grand opening ceremony, the new location at 400 21st Ave. South—in the same outdoor complex as Chipotle and Subway across from the Vanderbilt Business School—will be nice for Dunkin’ fans who might be tired of walking all the way down 21st to the current location across from Mapco. Let the coffee shop wars continue!
