Chef Hrant Arakelian to take over EBI’s kitchen April 9

Isabel Tannenbaum

Hrant Arakelian, head chef and owner of Lyra Restaurant, will cook a special meal in the dining hall at E. Bronson Ingram College this Tuesday between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Born in Lebanon, Arakelian grew up cooking with his parents, an experience to which he attributes his ambition for a culinary career. He trained in various Nashville restaurants for a few years before opening one of his own in 2017. Serving decadent Middle Eastern cuisine, Lyra has received rave reviews since its opening. Curious to taste of Arakelian’s gourmet take on college dining? Come use your meal swipe at this Campus Dining special event.
