Vanderbilt’s annual Fall for the Arts took place on Friday evening, marking the first official day of Vanderbilt’s Family Weekend. Hosted by the Ingram Commons on Commons Lawn, the event brought families and students together for a vibrant celebration of campus spirit.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, guests were gifted picnic blankets, creating a cozy, picnic-style setting. Although plenty of tables and chairs were prepared, some attendees were seen sitting on the lawn, chatting and hanging out. Guests also enjoyed a variety of food options, such as fresh harvest salad and ham with sweet potatoes, on the Wyatt Lawn before moving to Commons Lawn for student performances and other do-it-yourself activities.
Attendees watched a wide range of student performances, including heartfelt poetry, melodic a-cappella and high-energy dance performances, all showcasing talent from undergraduates of all ages. The event highlighted student talents who had performed in previous years on the same Fall for the Arts stage, celebrating their love for performing.
Even after sunset, families and friends stayed under the light decorations, creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere.
