Frankie Collins has committed to Vanderbilt Men’s Basketball. The news was first reported by Tobias Bass on X.
Collins has been around the country, making stops in the Big 10 during the 2021-22 season with Michigan and the Pac-12 (formerly) with Arizona State from 2022-24. He averaged a career-high 13.8 points and 2.6 steals per game in 2023-24 with the Sun Devils. He transferred to TCU before the start of the 2024-25 season but appeared in just nine games before a season-ending foot injury.
He scored over 13 points on five different occasions and ended the season with averages of 11.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. His final game as a Horned Frog came against Vanderbilt, when he scored 6 points and dished out a season-high 7 assists. The 6’2 senior also racked up 1.9 steals per game in 2024-25.
While he has played four seasons, he still had a medical redshirt to burn before the injury, which means he still has two years of eligibility, should he choose to use them. His transition to Vanderbilt and the SEC will mark his fourth team and conference in five years.
Collins, a Sacramento, California, native, will bring experience and tournament pedigree (five career NCAA Tournament games) to a Vanderbilt team looking to replace its starting backcourt.
