“I really think the goal of math is creating beauty,” Dr. Dan Margalit said. Margalit’s research interests lie in low-dimensional topology and geometric group theory. Margalit and I talk about the importance of having fun with math and understanding abstract ideas, as well as the beauty of symmetry in nature.
