As students have settled back into campus this January, there have been many sports games and speaker events to keep them busy. Here are the highlights in photos.

New additions to campus

Vanderbilt College Republicans hosted a debate over affirmative action, and the Irish ambassador spoke to students on her goodwill tour. There are more changes in dining as students prepare for the Kissam Munchie Mart and Kitchen to close in March.

This week in sports

Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams hosted conference games this week at Memorial. While the men’s team lost their game on Tuesday to the Kentucky Wildcats, the women’s team ran away with a win. Guard Ciaja Harbison tied the school record for 41 points against the Aggies.

Editor’s Picks

Students enjoyed a new ice cream machine on Commons, while Vanderbilt’s Alpha Psi chapter of the Sigma Chi fraternity closed until at least 2027. Students questioned whether the published Vandy Van schedule is accurate, while others attended the Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit in Downtown Nashville.
