After an eventful summer for current and former Commodores, Jerry Stackhouse will lead his 2022-23 squad across the Atlantic Ocean for an exhibition series. The team will head overseas for 10 days, making stops in France, Italy and Monaco.
“We are excited about the international trip and the unique experiences it will provide our student-athletes educationally and athletically,” Stackhouse said. “Our program is very grateful to our administration and the individual supporters who are making this trip possible. We look forward to the lifelong memories our Commodore team will experience together in Europe this summer.”
The Commodores will depart on August 6 and return to the States on August 15. Over the span of the four exhibitions, the team will gain 10 additional summer practices. On the trip, Vanderbilt is scheduled to visit cities including Nice, Monaco, Milan and Venice.
The tour marks the first time since 2013 that the Commodore men’s basketball team will head overseas. Former head coach Kevin Stallings led Vanderbilt to a 4-0 record on that trip, as the team made stops in Greece and Italy.
