Vanderbilt men’s basketball has released its full 2021-2022 schedule. The Commodores will begin their season on Nov. 10 at home against Alabama State and will travel to Arkansas on Jan. 4, 2022 to begin their SEC slate. The full nonconference schedule is headlined by a Christmas trip to Hawaii for the Diamond Head Classic.
Head coach Jerry Stackhouse will enter his third season on West End with heightened expectations. First Team All-SEC guard Scotty Pippen Jr. decided to withdraw his name from NBA Draft consideration and despite six players transferring out of the program, the former NBA star brought in seven new players—three freshmen and four transfers. The new-look Commodores boast an interesting non-conference slate with a pair of rematches from Stackhouse’s first year—SMU and Loyola Chicago—and a number of familiar opponents in Winthrop, Mississippi Valley State and Austin Peay. Inside the SEC, the Commodores will have home-and-homes with South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee Florida and Kentucky. The full schedule is shown below.
