Why: Join Vanderbilt alumnus Dave Sheinin of the Washington Post and Teresa Walker of the Associated Press Nashville bureau as they discuss their experiences covering the Olympics in Russia, China and Brazil.

What: Jewish Philosophy Discussion with Shlomo Rothstein
When: Monday, Nov. 12 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Where: Kappa Sigma House
Why: Engage in a discussion with Rabbi Shlomo about Jewish philosophy and the role of uncertainty in our lives.

Why: Anchor down with the ‘Dores as they play Ole Miss in their annual Salute to Service game. The first 3000 fans will receive a free Salute to Service t-shirt.

What: Vanderbilt Men’s Basketball vs. Alcorn State
When: Friday, Nov. 16 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Where: Memorial Gymnasium
Why: Root for Vandy as Men’s Basketball takes on Alcorn State.

What: Vandy Raasmalai and Dandiya Decorating
When: Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Sarratt Multicultural Lounge
Why: Enjoy some delicious rasmalai, a traditional Indian dessert and decorate your own set of dandiya, sticks used in the Raas’ dances, while learning more about the history and culture behind their dance form.

What: A Look into Western and Eastern Medicine
When: Thursday, Nov. 15 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Where: Sarratt 216/220
Why: Hear from a panel of doctors who practice Western, Traditional Chinese and other Eastern medicine. After the panel, attendants can enjoy snacks and meet and greet the doctors.

Why: Enjoy a fun fall evening of pumpkin painting, warm autumn drinks and music.
