Vanderbilt ranked number one for colleges with great financial aid in the Princeton Review ranking, released August 6th on their website.

Vanderbilt uses “Opportunity Vanderbilt” as the guideline to meeting the financial aid needs of students. Opportunity Vanderbilt has three commitments to U.S. Citizens and eligible non-citizens. These factors are that the admissions process is need-blind, 100 percent of a family’s demonstrated financial need will be met and financial aid awards do not include loans. Rather than loans, Vanderbilt offers additional grant assistance

The university ranked high amongst other categories, including ranking third for most beautiful campus, happiest students and best quality of life. Vanderbilt also placed fourth for college city that gets high marks and town-gown relations are great.

In past years, Vanderbilt has received number one for the “Happiest Students” ranking, but the College of William and Mary and the University of Oklahoma placed first and second for 2019.

138,000 students were surveyed by the Princeton Review over a three year period to help rank 384 colleges and universities.
