JoJo will be headlining the Vanderbilt Programming Board’s annual Homecoming Block Party this year Oct. 17 at the University Club Lot.
R&B-pop singer JoJo began her career following an appearance on the television show America’s Most Talented Kids, when she received a phone call from producer Vincent Herbert. In 2004, she released her platinum-selling album featuring the hit “Leave (Get Out).” After reaching the top spot on billboard charts, JoJo earned the title of the youngest solo artist to ever have a number one single in the United States. She is also well known for her second album, “The High Road,” which included another platinum single, “Too Little Too Late.”
Attendees can expect free admission, t-shirts, food trucks, and a number other activities and giveaways. The Block Party kicks off at 8 p.m. on Oct. 17 at the University Club Lot, located behind Branscomb.
