Jason Edwards has entered the transfer portal, per Joe Tipton of On3 Sports. He will also go through the NBA Draft process with the option to return to college should he choose to do so.
Edwards will leave Vanderbilt after one season in the Black and Gold. He averaged 17.0 points per game on career-bests of 43.5% from the field and 35.3% from 3-point range and earned a selection to the All-SEC Third Team for his efforts.
The 6’1 guard was the Commodores’ leading scorer this season and helped lead the team to an NCAA Tournament berth. He scored a team-high 18 points in Vanderbilt’s loss to Saint Mary’s in the Round of 64. He also scored a season-high 30 points against TCU on Dec. 8 and poured in 24 points during two SEC games, against Georgia and on the road against Tennessee.
Edwards, who transferred over from North Texas last offseason, will look for his third team in as many years.
