The NCAA awarded Vanderbilt Golf two regional championships in 2027 and 2028 at Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tennessee. The women’s team will host an NCAA Regional in 2027 from May 10-12, while the men’s team will host in 2028 from May 5-17.
Vanderbilt Legends Club has hosted numerous championships in the past. 2027 will be the fourth time the club has hosted an NCAA Regional and points to the NCAA making it a consistent stop on its championship rotation. The women’s team last hosted in 2022, while the men’s team hosted in 2016.
The club has held both college and professional events. Vanderbilt Women’s Golf recently hosted the Mason Rudolph Championship in September, and Vanderbilt Men’s Golf will host the Mason Rudolph Championship this coming spring from April 4-6. Similarly, the Korn Ferry Tour held the Simmons Bank Open there this month.
The club has two 18-hole courses on the property: the par-72 North Course and the par-71 South Course. The course on which these NCAA championships will be played has yet to be announced.
Both golf teams are currently in the middle of their respective fall seasons. Coming off a win at the Carmel Cup to start the season, the women’s team placed fifth at the Mason Rudolph and will compete next at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational from Oct. 11-13.
The men’s team has had a tougher start to its fall slate, placing third in its opener and fifth in the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational last week. The men will be back in action at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational from Oct. 18-20 to conclude the fall season.
