After a promising first year on West End, forward Ven Allen-Lubin has entered the transfer portal. The sophomore previously transferred to Vanderbilt from Notre Dame, where he averaged 6.2 points and 4.4 rebounds per game as a true freshman.

The Orlando, Fla. native took on an expanded role with Vanderbilt throughout the 2023-24 campaign, averaging 12.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game — third and first among all Commodores — while bumping his 3-point percentage from 9.1% to 33.3%, which was tied for second-best among all Vanderbilt players this season.

While injuries delayed his Black and Gold debut, Allen-Lubin got rolling towards the end of the season, recording back-to-back double doubles through the Commodores’ final two games. He put up 25 points and 11 rebounds in Vanderbilt’s home finale against Florida to go with 21 points and 10 rebounds in an overtime loss to Arkansas in the SEC Tournament.

Allen-Lubin joins former teammates Lee Dort, Isaiah West, Colin Smith, Jason Rivera-Torres, Paul Lewis, Tyrin Lawrence, Malik Presley and Carter Lang as the ninth Commodore to enter the portal.

The rising junior was a former top-75 recruit, per ESPN, in the Class of 2022, and is projected to have interest from several high-profile schools following a successful season with Vanderbilt.
