This semester has been one for the books, beginning with a winter that lasted way too long and ending with an “Old Town Road Remix” that’s been played way too often. That said, with finals week rapidly approaching, it’s important to take time to relax your mind and body so you can finish the year off strong. Attend one of these upcoming destress events to find your zen before your exams.
Thursday, April 18 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Recreation and Wellness Center
This events offers massages and a variety of activities including top golf, bowling, video games, beach volleyball, yoga (5:30 – 6:45 p.m.), crate stacking (5:30 – 7 p.m.) and rock wall climbing (7 – 8:30 p.m.). Attendees will also get the chance to pet the therapy dogs and hang out in Hammock Village. Most importantly, there is free food.
Friday, April 19 from 5 – 7 p.m. in Sarratt 189
This event offers students the chance to make a banh mi sandwich, which is a big part of Vietnamese street food and a staple in the country’s breakfast menu. There are suggested guidelines for making one, but feel free to let your culinary creativity run wild. In addition, you sing away your stress with karaoke.
Monday, April 22 at 11:59 p.m. in Morgan Reading Room
On the last day of class, right before midnight, students can gather to eat breakfast foods as a Highland Quad tradition. Choose from a selection of pancakes, bacon, biscuits and gravy, bagels, fruit, McDonald’s hash browns, Foxes Cronuts and a coffee cart from Crest Coffee. There will also be a variety of foods that cater to different dietary restrictions.
Tuesday, April 23, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Branscomb Lobby
Stop by to grab some snacks and school supplies before finals swing into full gear.
Tuesday, April 23, 7 – 10 p.m. in the Student Life Center
