What: The Power of Transformative Goals: Vanderbilt’s BlueSky Energy Vision Process
When: Monday, August 27 at 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Ingram Hall, Blair School of Music
Why: Distinguished green building expert Jason McLennan will be lecturing on Vanderbilt’s carbon footprint reduction and the field of architecture in relation to FutureVU. Come to Ingram Hall to further inform yourself about the ecological direction our campus is heading.

Why: Check out a sampling of the 100+ study abroad options Vanderbilt has to offer to get a feel for what could be the best fit for you. If you’re a US citizen, you can also apply for a passport at the fair.

Why: Take part in Highland Quad’s signature weekly social event. Mingle with other people on HQ while trying fresh baked goods and hot tea.

What: IICC End of the Month Kickback
When: Thursday, August 30 at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Multicultural Lounge (Sarratt 335)
Why: The End of the Month Kickback is an opportunity for members of the Vanderbilt community to mentally reset and recharge. Each month, IICC will seek to foster an environment that engages in wellness initiatives and practices that are culturally relevant to the needs of multicultural, international and underrepresented populations.

What: Be More Chill and Pippin Auditions
When: Wednesday, August 29 to Friday, August 31 at 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Carmichael Towers East Lobby
Why: Try out to be a member of the cast of either Be More Chill, VOB’s fall production of 10-12 members or Pippin, VOB’s mainstage production of 22-24 members. No previous musical theatre experience is required, and callbacks will be on September 2nd. Come prepared for a cold reading from the script and for 16-32 bars of a song of your choice to showcase your vocal abilities.

What: Creative Writing Popsicle Social
When: Thursday, August 30 at 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Where: Duncan Library (Benson Hall)
Why: Get to know fellow creative writers on campus over free Las Paletas. Engage with faculty and other student writers in a casual environment.

Why: Join Vandy CHAARG on Wyatt Lawn for an hour of yoga led by a certified instructor. Come for Las Paletas and stay for an evening of exercising and socializing.
