If you haven’t heard, the beloved Jake’s Bakes cookie delivery service recently merged with Tiff’s Treats, a cookie and brownie delivery service that started in Austin, Texas. The new stores celebrated their grand opening this past Saturday (so order now!) but I went to their soft opening last week and got the inside scoop on what you can expect. Here is the ranked rundown of what Tiff’s Treats has to offer:
- Cookies: you can expect the full Jake’s Bakes menu, plus a pecan chocolate chip. Additionally, the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie that was seasonal at Jake’s Bakes is on the permanent menu at Tiff’s. We tried the M&M, chocolate chip and peanut butter, and my personal favorite was the peanut butter.
- Tiffwich ice cream sandwich: A classic ice cream sandwich made with warmed cookies and vanilla ice cream. I tried this with a chocolate chip cookie and a peanut butter cookie, and I would highly recommend. The vanilla ice cream is exceptionally good and the warm cookies add to the experience.
- Brownies: These brownies are the best kind of brownies– hot and fudgy, with chunks of chocolate dispersed between the chewy but soft edges. You can order vanilla ice cream on the side with anything, so pair it with the brownies to create your own sundae at home!
- Tiffblitz Frozen Dessert: This loaded dessert wasn’t in stock yet when we visited the store, but you can understand why I tried to order it. It’s made up of vanilla ice cream blended with chocolate chip cookies and brownie bits, topped with crumbled sugar cookies. It has a bit of everything Tiff’s has to offer. Order this item or any of the above with plain or chocolate milk, or sub in iced coffee if you’re making a late night study order.
Overall, I think that Tiff’s Treats is going to be a successful merge with Jake’s Bakes. The cookies were delicious and definitely comparable to Jake’s Bakes. The brownies and other items Tiff’s offers make it a promising replacement for a campus favorite. Check it out to see for yourself!
