Sophomore guard Brylee Bartram received a wavier granting her eligibility for the 2020-2021 season, Vanderbilt athletics confirmed Friday.
Bartram, a transfer from the University of Florida, played in 29 of 30 games as a true freshman last season and averaged 4.2 points per game in 14.9 minutes per contest. She specialized in shooting beyond the arc, with 117 of her 126 field goal attempts coming from three-point range. Bartram maintained a 31.7 percent clip from deep and made a career-high six three-pointers against Missouri.
“We are excited for Brylee,” head coach Stephanie White said in a release. “Since arriving on campus, she has been a tremendous asset to the program and she has been patient in this process. We are grateful for the support of our administration and compliance team, and thrilled for Brylee to have the opportunity to play this season.”
Bartram was the No. 79 prospect in the nation entering the 2019-2020 season, and broke the national high school career record (boys and girls) with 533 made three-pointers at Seffner Christian Academy.
Vanderbilt women’s basketball opens its season on Dec. 5 at Arkansas Little Rock after its first three games of the season were postponed due to COVID-19.
