PHOTOS OF THE WEEK: Life in layers

Snow lands on top, as did Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball this week.

Another winter week was filled with scheduling fun around busy class schedules and fans packed in Memorial Gymnasium.

A snowy start

Students celebrated classes being canceled on Tuesday by having snowball fights outside their dorm rooms and making snow angels on the ground.

Sports

Despite the men’s basketball team losing to Auburn on Wednesday and a devastating loss of their own to Missouri last Sunday, the women’s basketball team pulled through against Auburn on Thursday.

Editor’s picks

Our photography staffers captured the dazzling winter weather on film while trying to avoid the icy roads. Staff photographer Salma Elhandaoui described the conditions of campus covered in snow.
