PODCAST: SEC play heats up for Women’s and Men’s Basketball

In the first episode of the 2024 calendar year, Sports Editor Andrew Wilf, Deputy Sports Editor Sam Curtis and Sports Copy Editor Henry Oelhafen hit the studio to record Live From West End. The trio discuss the success of Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball and how Shea Ralph can continue this win streak. They move on to discuss Vanderbilt Men’s Basketball. Finally, they end by discussing “Anything but Vandy” and hot takes for the new year.

Andrew Wilf (’24) is Sports Editor for The Vanderbilt Hustler. He is from Livingston, N.J., and is majoring in history and minoring in business. Sam Curtis (’24) is from Wallingford, Conn., majoring in human and organizational development and French and minoring in data science in Peabody College. He was previously Assistant Sports Editor and Sports Copy Editor. When not writing for The Hustler, he cheers on the Philadelphia Eagles, the 76ers and Leeds United. Henry Oelhafen, Sports Copy Editor
Henry Oelhafen (‘26) is a student in Peabody College majoring in human and organizational development and minoring in business. Henry grew up as a Vanderbilt sports fan and loves to talk about both professional and amateur golf. In addition to writing, he loves to play golf with friends, hike and try new restaurants. Alexa White ('23) is from Traverse City, Michigan, and is double-majoring in secondary education and English.
