Vanderbilt’s website states that the university’s “ramp-up may lag the Nashville ramp-up and will be tailored to our own unique density, operations, and other considerations as a residential education institution.” (Former Hustler Staff/Lila Johnson)

A pipe leak has caused the water to be shut-off at Central Library for at least the next four hours, according to Central Library staff.

The announcement was made over library intercom at approximately 11:20 a.m. Library visitors and staff can’t use drinking fountains or restrooms until approximately 3:30 p.m.

The closest bathrooms and hydration stations are Stevenson Center.

UPDATE: According to Central Library staff at 1:15 p.m., the water is expected to be shut off for at least four to five more hours. Staff have locked the doors to restrooms and the library cafe is not able to make drinks or dispense food that is not pre-wrapped.

This story will be updated as new information becomes available.
