The Vanderbilt Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) Fraternity was suspended from Vanderbilt’s campus due to hazing and risk management violations. The chapter will be allowed to return to the university in Spring 2023.
SAE was suspended by the Interfraternity Council (IFC) Formal Accountability Board, according to Director of Greek Life Kristen Torrey. The Vanderbilt SAE chapter is the second established chapter of the national fraternity in the country.
“Vanderbilt University has no tolerance for hazing in our community,” Torrey said in an email.
IFC has not responded to request for comment.
