Why: Vanderbilt Hillel will host a Russian themed Shabbat dinner. The dinner will include traditional Russian dishes and desserts and decorations.

Where: Sarratt Cinema
Why: The Ishter, a renowned pianist, will be performing renditions of original soundtracks featured in Japanese popular media and culture. These will include songs featured in popular anime and video games. His performance will be accompanied with clips that reflect the works that inspire his performances.

What: Spread the Word to End the Word Pledge Signing
When: Friday, March 16 at 11 a.m.
Where: Commons Center Atrium
Why: Every year, the Student Council for Exceptional Children has a banner signing event where people from all over can pledge to not use the word “retarded” and promise to respect people with disabilities. There will be a banner for people to sign, stickers that pledgers can take and a bake sale to raise funds for the SCEC’s programming.

When: Friday, March 16 at 3 p.m.
Where: Alumni Lawn
Why: Kappa Delta Shamrock is an annual dodgeball tournament to raise money for Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee (PCAT). There will be grilled cheese for sale, and all proceeds will go to Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee.

Where: Calhoun Hall Arch
Why: VPAC hosts its annual A Cappella showcase at Calhoun Arch.The event features the Belmont Prismatics, as well as Vanderbilt groups the Dodecaphonics, Harmonic Notion, the Melodores, the Swingin’ Dores, Vandy Taal, Variations and Voce A Cappella.

What: McGill Showcase

Where: The McGill Project
Why: McGill’s Showcase features McGillites’ paintings, drawings, poems, films, sculptures and much more. The Showcase encourages the more than 100 McGillites to express themselves creatively, politically and intellectually.
