Whether you’re dreading the stream of corny couple photos flooding your Instagram feed or you’re forced to tell your grandparents that you still aren’t dating your freshman year boyfriend for the eighth time, Valentine’s Day can evoke feelings of angst, annoyance and aggravation.
The answer? Debatably chocolate. But also a day of all things indulgent: Galentine’s Day. The celebration officially falls on Feb. 13 according to Parks & Recreation’s Leslie Knope, but who’s to say that a holiday recognizing friendship and girl power can’t be a 48 hour ordeal? Check out what all the single ladies will be doing around Nashville on Feb. 14 and take part in the festivities.
Loveless Café
If the ironic, perhaps too-close-to-home name doesn’t draw you in, the all-day breakfast and softest biscuits in Music City are reason enough to head to this Nashville staple. Indulge yourself with Nutella Hot Chocolate, Cinnamon Raisin French Toast and, of course, the classic biscuits. You’ll surely leave feeling better (and fuller) than when you arrived.

Fifty Shades Freed at Regal Green Hills
Right when you swore that you were done after walking out of the theater post-Fifty Shades Darker, the third film adaptation of E.L. James’ erotic romance novels, Fifty Shades Freed, hits the big screen. However, Fifty Shades Freed is “the final chapter,” so I suppose that we all have somewhat of an obligation to see it—despite our better judgment.

Be Myzica at Acme Feed & Seed
For the hopeless romantics, the heartless and everyone in between, there is one surefire way to cure the Feb. 14 blues: a rooftop dance party.
