What: Vanderbilt UNICEF End Trafficking Week: Experts Panel Discussion

Why: Human trafficking has been reported in all 50 states, and Nashville is a hub for it. In order to foster better understanding of human trafficking, its pertinence locally and globally and effective ways to combat it, the Vanderbilt University UNICEF Campus Initiative is excited to offer an experts panel event, bringing together various leaders in diverse fields specializing in understanding and combating human trafficking.

Where: Vanderbilt Hillel Schulman Center for Jewish Life
Why: Celebrating the “New Year of the Trees,” Shabbat will have an environmental theme and feature a special pre-dinner Seder. The Seder, a type of holiday explanation, will be a short reflection on spirituality, the environment and a chance to try new and special foods. Who: Vanderbilt Hillel
What: Filipino Almusal Brunch

Why: This opportunity invites Vanderbilt students to learn about the delicious breakfast traditions of the Philippines and how they are manifested in Filipino-American households. Brunch is included.

Why: Join Nashville’s Trap Yoga class for an hour of yoga, Trap music and a little twerking. The flow will be led by Demita, and DJ Vue will spin the music. Tickets are $10-$15.
