Lights on the Lawn, a concert event hosted annually by the Interfraternity Council and Vanderbilt Programming Board to benefit the Mary Parish Center, took place on Sept. 22, 2017. This year, the concert featured EDM duo Louis the Child and sold almost 5,000 tickets, almost three times more than the previous record for ticket sales, said Sam Hooker, the PR and Marketing Chair for this year’s event. The record-breaking ticket sales contributed to the event raising more than $100,000: the largest fundraising number LOTL has ever seen.

Hooker noted that Jack McGuire, chair of LOTL, Christian Renner, logistics and operations chair, and Graham Lewis, sponsorship chair, were all irreplaceable pieces of this year’s success.

All of the proceeds from the event will go to the Mary Parrish Center, a transitional housing center that takes in abused women and helps them get back on their feet after living with detrimental relationships.

Past artists who have headlined at the event have included the Chainsmokers, Two Friends and Gryffin.
