College Voices: Protests, Petitions and Silence

Staff Writer Abhinav Krishnan sits down with student activists to learn more about the challenges they face when dealing with the administration.

Student activists help underrepresented communities feel heard, but first, the university has to listen. Over the past year, some activists have opted for more public disruptions in an effort to get the  administration to pay attention to their cause. On Feb. 23, Dores Divest and DivestVU held one such protest,  complete with a 14-foot unicorn, stickers and bagpipes.

On this episode, Abhinav Krishnan speaks to student activists on campus to learn more about the challenges they face and what they are doing to overcome these obstacles.
