The afternoon of Feb. 14, Vanderbilt announced that the Feb. 17 Chancellor Lecture Series event featuring America Ferrera is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Actress, producer, director and activist America Ferrera was scheduled to partake in a “Life Between Cultures” discussion about growing up in Los Angeles as the child of Honduran immigrants.

University representatives say that there is a possibility that the event will be rescheduled.

Although this portion of the Chancellor’s Lecture Series is cancelled, the series will continue Feb. 19 with a talk featuring former National Security Advisors John Bolton and Susan Rice. As of the publishing of this article, Bolton and Rice have agreed to an interview with The Hustler. The last scheduled speaker of the Chancellor’s Lecture Series is renowned journalist and CNN Anchor Anderson Cooper, who is scheduled to visit campus March 15.
