Educational
What: Dinner in the Dark
When: Monday, March 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: The Wond’ry
Why: This special event, hosted by Next Steps at Vanderbilt Ambassadores, is a blindfolded dinner designed to immerse students in a temporary experience of visual impairment. The unique event was created in order to broaden students’ perspectives. There will also be an introduction before the dinner and a Q&A afterwards.

What: Building Your Personal Brand
When: Tuesday, March 19 from 5 to 6:15 p.m.
Where: The Wond’ry, 3rd floor lounge
Why: Join Managerial Professor Patrick Leddin and podcaster and entrepreneur Clark Buckner for a career development session about creating your brand in today’s world. Free food will be provided as well as GME credit.
Who: The Wond’ry

 

Sports
What: Baseball vs. University of Florida
When: Thursday, March 21 at 6 p.m.; Friday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 23 at 1 p.m.
Where: Hawkins Field
Why: Cheer on the ‘Dores as they take on the Gators in this three-game series.
Who: Vanderbilt Athletics

 

Cultural
What: International Fashion Show
When: Monday, March 18 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Where: Student Life Center 132BC Ballroom BC
Why: Enjoy an evening of fashion while students showcase traditional costumes from countries around the world to celebrate the diversity on campus. Audience members get free food, a show and an opportunity for a meet-and-greet.

What: Butcher & Bee Cooking Demo and Israeli Food Exploration
When: Wednesday, March 20 from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m.
Where: Vanderbilt Hillel Back Room
Why: RSVP to this special event for Hillel’s Israel week, which features the head chef from Nashville restaurant Butcher & Bee. Join them for a discussion of Israeli influence on their menu and for a cooking demo of their whipped feta, hummus and crispy rice avocado salad.

What: Pholafel
When: Tuesday, March 19 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Where: Upstairs Alumni Hall
Why: Snack on pho and falafel while talking about how affirmative action impacts the Asian and Jewish American communities.

Recreational
What: The Roommate Games
When: Tuesday, March 19 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Hank Lobby
Why: Hank House is teaming up with Project Safe to put on this fun competition to see who knows their roommate best. Stop by the Hank Lobby for food, entertainment and prizes.

Arts
What: Vanderbilt Orchestra and Wind Symphony Concert
When: Friday, March 22 from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Blair School of Music
Why: Join the Vanderbilt Orchestra and Wind Symphony for a free concert featuring the work of a student composer as well as staples in the classical music repertoire.
Who: Blair Student Council

 

Health & Wellness
What: UCC @ IICC Open Space!
When: Monday, March 18 from 2 to 3 p.m.
Where: IICC Multicultural Lounge (Sarratt 335)
Why: Join the University Counseling Center in their second week of a new program to bring mental health discussions to the IICC. This week will have free food and will focus on dealing with feelings of shame.

What: Gentle Yoga
When: Monday, March 18 from 2 to 3 p.m.
Where: Center for Student Wellbeing
Why: Come out to the CSW for a no-experience-required yoga session to engage both your body and your mind.
Who: Center for Student Wellbeing, Student Care Network, Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center
