Where: To be decided

Why: Hear advice from Vanderbilt alumni working in the marketing field. Dinner is provided.

Who: Alumni Relations

What: Innocent on Death Row: Conversation with Anthony Ray Hinton

When: Tuesday, Feb. 19 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Where: Benton Chapel

Why: Anthony Ray Hinton discusses his experience being falsely accused on death row, which he talks about in his book The Sun Does Shine.

Who: Black Cultural Center

What: She Sang Freedom

When: Thursday, Feb. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Where: The Wond’ry, 3rd Floor Lounge

Why: Join Dr. Tammy Kernodle, Professor of Musicology from Miami University, for this interactive musical performance exploring how black women musicians have used music as a means of documenting and promoting the struggle for equality and social justice in America.

Where: Hawkins Field

Why: Come see the Vandy Boys take on their next opponent after a weekend of wins. Attendees will receive a poster.

Who: Vanderbilt Athletics

What: Men’s Tennis vs. North Florida and Lipscomb

When: Friday, Feb. 22 from 12 to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m.

Where: Currey Tennis Center

Why: Kick off your weekend with this double header match. Chick-fil-A will be served in between the games.

What: SACE Speaks with ALAS: Colorism

When: Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Where: IICC Lounge

Why: Join ALAS and SACE for a discussion on issues surrounding colorism affecting both the Latinx and South Asian communities. Dinner from Moe’s will be provided.

Who: South Asian Cultural Exchange and Association of Latin American Students  

What: Marley Documentary Screening

When: Thursday, Feb. 21 from 7:15 to 10 p.m.

Where: The Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center

Why: Join CSA for a screening of the documentary Marley in celebration of Reggae Month. This documentary follows the life of musician Bob Marley, and features real-life footage and interviews with the legend himself.

Who: Caribbean Students Association

What: Lunar New Year Festival 2019

When: Saturday, Feb. 23 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Where: Langford Auditorium

Why: Celebrate the coming of the new lunar year with dances performances originating from a diverse group of Asian cultures. Tickets can be purchased for $5 at the Sarratt Box Office or Rand Wall.

What: Command Line Capture the Flag

When: Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 11 to 1 p.m.

Where: Featheringill Atrium

Why: Join VandyFOSS for capture the flag, cupcakes and more as they celebrate E-Week.

What: Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare

When: Thursday, Feb. 21 from 7 to 9:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 22 from 8: to 10:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 23 from 8 to 10:30 p.m.

Where: Neely Auditorium

Why: VUTheatre presents Shakespeare’s classic comedy Twelfth Night. The show is directed by Fred Coe Artist-in-Residence Santiago Sosa, who is also an artistic associate at the Nashville Shakespeare Festival.

Who: Vanderbilt University Theatre

What: McGill Coffeehouse

When: Friday, Feb. 22 from 8 to 11 p.m.

Where: McGill TV Lounge

Why: Hear fellow students share their talents at this open mic night. There will be free food as well.
