Why: For all the non-STEM majors out there struggling to fulfill their math and natural sciences AXLE requirement, come and learn valuable science study skills.

What: Animal Property Rights

When: Wednesday, Feb. 6 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Where: Vanderbilt Law School, Hyatt Room

Why:Hear a lecture from Professor Karen Bradshaw of Arizona State University on a new legal approach to protecting captive animals.

Why: Cheer on the women’s lacrosse team and, if you’re one of the first 200 fans, enjoy a hot chocolate and coffee bar.

When: Friday, Feb. 8 from 12 to 2 p.m.

Where: Center for Second Language Studies

Why:Enjoy some tea and snacks while practicing your Urdu skills with all levels of speakers.

What: Chinese New Year Celebration

When: Saturday, Feb. 9 from 12 to 3 p.m.

Where: Stallworth Park, 21st Avenue and Blakemore Avenue

Why:Celebrate Chinese New Year by enjoying lion dancing, dragon dancing, juggling, Chine dance, Tai Chi, arts & crafts and food trucks from Lucky Bamboo, DegThai and Boomerang Australian Coffee.
