What: Let’s Talk North Korea

When: Wednesday, Jan. 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Why: Discuss the condition of North Korea with a panel of professors from the Asian American and Korean culture studies programs, guests from the Nashville community and North Korean experts from the graduate school. Dinner will be served, RSVP on Anchor Link.

Why: Learn more about the 1936 Berlin Olympics by watching Leni Riefenstahl’s famous documentary depicting the event and then discussing it with Lutz Koepnick, Vanderbilt professor of German and Cinema & Media arts.

Why: Hear from Dr. Chip Colwell, Senior Curator of Anthropology at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, as he discusses the complicated and emotional process of repatriation of artifacts and bones to Native American tribes.

Why: Join 400+ volunteers from Nashville area universities for a day of community service honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Volunteers will sign up for their specific service project the morning of the event and be bused to their sites.
