Go downtown any given night and you will hear the typical sounds of Music City: acoustic guitars, country drawls and lyrics about love and heartbreak. First-year Sarah Lopez brings those same sounds to Vanderbilt, exemplifying the classic Nashville story of someone coming here with a song and a dream.

Paired with percussionist Adam Tweardy, a fellow first-year whom she met through Media Immersion at Vanderbilt, the duo brought three original songs to the Sarratt basement. If you are a fan of Rae Lynn, Maren Morris or contemporary country in general, check out this set.
