College is hard. There are not enough hours in the day to do everything. Exams pile up. Social events fill up the calendar. Game days don’t stop coming.

Seems like we lead pretty busy lives! How could anyone possibly have time to prioritize their health in the midst of all of this craziness that is COLLEGE!?

It may seem like such a daunting task, but it does not have to be.

I get it though…focusing on your health and wellness can easily slip to the bottom of your priorities list. Honestly, I’m honored that you’re even taking the time to read this short article when you have such a busy day ahead of you! That’s why I’ve compiled a super quick list of 10 things to do TODAY that require almost zero effort to make your day a little bit healthier.

  1. Bring a reusable water bottle with you everywhere.
  2. Sleep for 8 hours every night.
  3. Eat fruits and/or vegetables at every meal.
  4. Wash your face every morning and night, no matter what.
  5. Prioritize walking over using electric scooters.
  6. Skip the soda fountain.
  7. Prioritize protein and healthy fats at breakfast.
  8. Get off your phone/computer at least 30 minutes before bed.
  9. Try a meditation or yoga flow once a week.
  10. Give/receive 5 hugs every day.

Of course, there are hundreds of things that you can do every day to improve your health, and that would probably take a lot of time. If you do find yourself getting bored one day and want to dive deeper, check out www.kaleandkravings.com for more tips! In the meantime though, drink water, eat your veggies, and go give out some hugs.
