The Vanderbilt Commodores remained at #12 in this week’s United Soccer Coaches poll and stayed at #10 in the Top Drawer Soccer rankings this week after drawing SEC rival South Carolina 0-0 on Friday.

South Carolina was ranked #9 last week and has moved up one spot to #8 this week in the coaches poll.

Vanderbilt is one of five SEC teams in the United Soccer poll along with Texas A&M at #5, South Carolina at #8, Tennessee at #18 and Mississippi State at #25. Auburn and Arkansas received votes.

On top of that, the draw allowed Vanderbilt to move up to #13 in the RPI rankings, a metric that factors into the team’s NCAA Tournament seeding. Vanderbilt has two wins, one draw and one loss against Top 50 RPI teams with another matchup coming up this Thursday against Auburn, the 21st-ranked RPI team.

The Commodores have three games remaining this season before the SEC Tournament as they look to claim the SEC regular season title. Vanderbilt is currently the top team in the SEC with 19 points with South Carolina and Texas A&M sitting just one win behind at 16 points. They are also the only team in the SEC that has yet to lose a conference game.

Vanderbilt hits the road to take on Auburn on Thursday at 6:30 PM CT. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
