Why: Hear from faculty and members of the Undergraduate Honor Council as they discuss the academic expectations of Vanderbilt, with specific emphasis on the tenets of the Honor System, the impacts of lapses in integrity and academic success – the right way.

What: Crawford Lecture on Women, Leadership, and Engaged Citizenship
When: Thursday, September 20 at 4 to 5 p.m.

Why: Join the Ingram Commons for the annual Crawford Lecture, featuring this year’s special guest Beverly Daniel Tatum, Ph.D., President Emerita of Spelman College and author of “Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria?”

Where: Vanderbilt Soccer Complex
Why: The Vanderbilt Women’s Soccer Team is on an eight-game winning streak and returns home to face Alabama. Come and watch them go for nine straight and get a free scarf!

What: Vanderbilt Women’s Golf at the Mason Rudolph Championship
When: Friday, September 21 through Sunday, September 23
Where: Vanderbilt Legends Club
Why: If you’re a golf fan, make your way out to the Vanderbilt Legends Club to watch the Vanderbilt Women’s Golf team compete in the annual Mason Rudolph Championship.

What: Vanderbilt Football vs. South Carolina
When: Saturday, September 22 at 3 p.m.
Where: Vanderbilt Stadium
Why: After a strong performance at Notre Dame, the Commodores will be looking for their third win of the season in their SEC opener against South Carolina.

What: Yom Kippur Services and Pre & Post Meals
When: Tuesday and Wednesday, September 18-19 (full schedule here)

Why: Celebrate Yom Kippur with Vanderbilt Hillel through a variety of service and meal options for every student, keeping in mind students’ busy schedules. High Holidays on Demand are express service experiences specifically designed to accommodate Vanderbilt students’ busy schedules. Food will be provided before and after each express service.

What: From MLK to BLM: 50 Years of Struggle
When: Thursday, September 20 at 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (full schedule here)

Why: The Deans of four Vanderbilt University schools each convene a panel of scholars for a day-long symposium addressing the implications of 50 years of struggle since the assassination of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
