VUPD is currently investigating two separate indecent exposure incidents that occurred at Vanderbilt Place and 24th Ave. on Sept. 10 and Sept. 11. Students were alerted via a security notice sent on Tuesday afternoon, which also reminded them to remain alert and access resources like VUPD, Project Safe and the Title IX Office if needed.

The first incident, which occurred on Sept. 10 at 7:10 p.m., involved an individual in a vehicle described as a 30 to 40-year-old black male with short hair exposing himself to a student. The individual left campus in a dark colored SUV.

The second, on Sept. 11 at 10:50 a.m., involved an individual in a vehicle described as a young black male with short hair, a muscular build, wearing a light colored t-shirt and baggy athletic shorts exposing himself to a student. The individual left campus in a small blue vehicle.

VUPD is asking that anyone with information about either incident call the Vanderbilt University Police Department at (615) 322-2745 or Metro Nashville Police at (615) 862-8600.

The Vanderbilt Hustler will update this story as we learn more.

By the way, what means are used for efficient security notices spreading in Vanderbilt Place in particular?
